Memento Care Homes and the Memento Foundation's mission is to improve the lives of seniors living in residential board and care homes.  We understand the importance of confidence and excellence in the care of your loved one.  We accomplish this goal by offering services not normally found in small care homes combined with the oversight of the Memento Foundation.  Our rigorous credentialing process is ongoing an includes unannounced site visits, resident and family satisfaction surveys, self assessment tools, owner/caregiver education, and review of state regulatory compliance.  Please contact us to help you find a credentialed home in your area.

At Memento, we believe that residential board and care homes have many inherent advantages compared to a large assisted living or having 24 hour caregivers at home.  Founders Michael Nelson M.D. and Karyn Nelson N.P. saw these advantages, but found that families did not know they existed at all, or more commonly could not find the best ones.  In Contra Costa county alone, there are roughly 440 board and care homes.  How can you find the best ones?  Memento is here to help.
